Dr. Ruben

Dr. Ruben Sandu path to pediatric dentistry began in his large extended family in Eastern Europe, where he immigrated to the US at age four. As the eldest cousin, he took on the responsibility of caring for his younger relatives. His childhood fascination with examining the mouths of animals, including ducks, chickens, cats, and dogs, naturally led him to pursue a career in dentistry.

Dr. Ruben earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. He then completed a General Practice Residency at Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, affiliated with UCSF. Discovering his passion for treating children and special needs patients, he pursued a fellowship in Special Needs Dentistry at Helen Hayes Hospital in upstate New York, affiliated with Columbia University. He further specialized in pediatric dentistry through a residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City and is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Ruben is committed to delivering exceptional care to children and those with special needs. His extensive training and experience enable him to provide compassionate and individualized treatment, ensuring a positive dental experience for every child.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Ruben enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He also finds relaxation in reading on his balcony, cherishing moments of personal enrichment and tranquility.
