Dr. Lu

Dr. Xuanyu Lu is a Board-Certified Orthodontist and Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO), as well as a Diplomate in Craniofacial Orthodontics. He serves as an Attending Doctor at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) and holds the position of Clinical Assistant Professor at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry, USC, where he engages in research and teaching.

Dr. Lu completed his Orthodontics residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and a Craniofacial Orthodontics Fellowship at CHLA/USC. Prior to his clinical training, he earned both a Master’s and a PhD in Oral Sciences from UIC, and has published 13 peer-reviewed articles in the fields of Bone Biology and Dentistry. With over 15 years of practice since earning his Dentistry degree in China, Dr. Lu brings extensive experience to his field.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Lu enjoys reading, cooking, and traveling. He is an avid runner, having completed 21 full marathons in major cities including Chicago, New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. His next running goal is to compete in the Boston Marathon.
